Editor's note: In 1963 Starbird debuted the Futurista at the Oakland Roadster Show. The three-wheeled build was Starbird's 6th bubble top custom, and he sold it to Monogram after the show. Unfortunately, it fell off a transporter and was destroyed. Fifteen years later, Starbird turned the remains of the car into the Star Trek Coupe.

First, note that the real car is white, not yellow like you see on the box art.

And, the kit- Built box stock, to resemble the real car, not the box art. Tamiya Pearl White and Pearl Clear. Some paint detailing throughout.
