I haven't posted many times over the last few years of finished show rod builds. This build started out as a junk Li'l Gasser kit to use as parts for another junk kit that was missing a few parts.
Originally, the frame was broken in half, the engine was missing, there were only two rear slicks and wheels, the paint and decals were already done, small parts were loose, and it was missing the front axle. The cab had pieces of styrene glued inside the cowling so that the entire cab sat level on the frame. I figured I would get what I needed off this junker and then toss the remains in the trash. I also had a box of parts from another junk Li'l Yeller that I had lying around.
I looked at the parts I had from those two builds and decided I could rebuild the Li'l Gasser junk model using what I could from those two junkers. The Li'l Yeller had the rear wheels and tires, brake lights, and a few other small parts.
I purchased another 427 engine off evil Bay and got it to fit in the engine bay. It sits a little high in front. The magneto is a little larger than what comes in the standard Li'l Gasser kit. I did add wiring to the engine. I was also able to find a front axle, front wheels, and original-sized front tires on evil Bay. The photos below are the result of my rebuild effort.
